Dia dhuit
I am trying to plan my vacation to county Galway Ireland. We will be seeing several cities and villages along the way because we are driving from the airport. My problem is the flights. Does anyone know if I can get a straight flight to Galway? I live in Ohio so any airport on the East coast will work that has one.
Go raith maith'ad

Hi Jodie,
I believe you'll be flying into Shannon Airport. Thats the closest to Galway that has International Arrivals I believe. I'm not 100% on that though. Check one of the online travel sites like orbitz.com. Put your destination in and it should tell ya the closest airport.
Slan, Pat
edit; Also, Ireland is a relatively small country, points of interest in a specific region are usually with-in an easy drive from each other. If you do come in through Shannon, Galway isn't that far away. |

Thanks Pat
That helps because the only things I am finding is packages that I don't want. I will decide where I am staying and where I am eating not where they tell me to.

Thats exactly how I planned my trip Jodie. Actually, I hardly "planned" anything at all other than where to rent my motorcycle. Everything else I just winged it, along with a few suggestions from the locals once I got there |
